The client must confirm their data is backed up and understand the risks of hard disk failure can lead to loss of data and under no circumstances is Quasar Computers liable for any data loss.

• The time it takes to diagnose and/or repair my device is unpredictable and any time estimates quoted are based on a best guess of the work involved and is not a guarantee of how long it can take.

• A minimum charge of $50 will be applied to all units left in the control of Quasar Computers, including devices where no repair was finished. This charge is to cover costs for the time it takes technicians to provide you the most affordable and reliable repairs, estimates, advice, and services. This charge is non-refundable and will be applied to all units excluding: active wear, phones, failed data recoveries, and headphones. Clients will not receive the device until payment is received in full and any due balances are paid off.

• Quasar Computers supplies a 90-day warranty on all repairs done with new parts. This warranty only applies to parts repaired or replaced by Quasar Computers. In the case a system is brought in under warranty and Quasar Computers deems the required work not be under warranty, the client will be liable for a minimum cost of $50 for the diagnosis of the new problems.

• If a client wishes to have any original parts from a repair to be returned to them it must be requested at the time the system is dropped off. If not, the old parts will be set aside for recycling or disposal. Quasar Computers holds no liability if a client fails to request that their parts be saved. No store credits, refunds, or returns are not given for parts not asked to be saved by the client.

• Quasar Computers may use photos and videos of the repair process and unit for advertising or as proof of work.

• Quasar Computers reserves the right to request a down payment on parts in the case of repairs that need parts to be ordered in from a supplier. This down payment is not required for all repairs and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

• Quasar Computers holds no liability for the damage done to a unit for a repair requested specifically by the client. Quasar Computers always recommends repairs be done with new parts, however used parts may be used at the request of the client. Ninety-day warranties do not apply to used parts. Quasar Computers holds no liability from damage done by the client from at-home repairs and DIY solutions. Quasar Computers is only liable for the repairs done to the unit while it is under the control of Quasar Computers.

• Some repairs, such as software issues, cannot have a price estimate given as there is no way to indicate or approximate time needed to complete the repair. The client understands there will be no estimate given for certain repairs that are at the discretion of the technician. The client willbe held responsible for the costs associated with any repair that is requested to be stopped without resolving any issue. Incomplete repairs will still be charged to the client for any time or work invested in the repair by Quasar Computers.

• If the client cancels their repair after verbal or written confirmation of the repair, the client will be liable to make payment of any parts ordered for the repair, a calculation of the cost of labor to return the parts, and the cost of shipping when returning any parts ordered for the client. This will be up to the maximum of the agreed cost of repair. Quasar Computers will not release any item back to you until payment in full is received.

• Clients understand that although everything possible is done to ensure my device is not damaged during diagnosis / repair, some non-serviceable and sealed devices (such as iPads / Tablets / Cameras etc.) are impossible to dismantle for diagnosis or repair without physically damaging the device to gain entry into it and the worst-case cost will be included in the quote to repair your device.

• Quasar Computers does not have specific knowledge of individual computer configurations. While we use our best efforts to minimize disruption to your system, we cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen consequences of our services including any loss or corruption of data.

• Quasar Computers is not responsible for failure by the client to follow Quasar Computers reasonable advice, recommendations or instructions; any losses the client may suffer arising from their use (or failure to use) any anti-virus and internet security software and any loss that is not reasonably foreseeable.

• The client agrees that the liability Quasar Computers has for any repair-related issue is limited to the cost of the repair service provided. Quasar Computers is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or business interruptions. 

• If a client leaves their device for more than 30 days without prior arrangements it is considered abandoned and the device will be recycled, resold, or dismantled to recover costs. In some cases, disposal of the unit may take place.

• If a client’s device’s operating system is reinstalled, software previously present may not be present on receipt of my repaired device and the client understands they will need to provide the original installation media if Quasar Computers are to re-install their software.

• If any provision of this Terms of Service is deemed invalid or unenforceable, teh remaining provisions shall continue in full force or effect.

• These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at the discretion of Quasar Computers.
